Which type of oil is used for cooling purposes in oil-filled transformers? Is it regular mineral oil or some special composition? What are the properties of transformer oil?

Chemical name of transformer oil is “hydro treated light nephthanic distillate”..

It is called as “MINERAL OIL” which is the dominant insulating fluid, which also has a cooling function..
