Electrical and electronics seems to be quite similar to each other. I want to know what is the main difference between electrical engineering and electronics engineering.

Simply Electrical is the core sector while Electronics is advanced sector of it.

In Electronics we  can program or control the electrons or flow of electrons by using any mechanical means say automatically.

But in Electrical we need to control Electron or flowof electrons manually or by some mechanical means.

In electronics whole circuit can be operated automatically by fixed programming.

While in electrical we need to do it manually.

For example fan is a electrical device so we need to operate it or control it’s operation manually.  But if we add some electronics circuit in fan along with electrical.  We can made fan to operate itself by comparing the program with inputs.

In almost cases Electronics deal with low voltage range upto 24 v AC/DC.  While electrical deal from low voltage to high voltage upto several mega volts AC/DC.

Though your question is hard to explain,  all I can answer is this.
